How to Make a Silver Chain Necklace
The supplies that you will need are:
A 48 inch metal chain
10 eye pins
Variety of large beads
You will need the following tools:
Cutters
Round-nose pliers
Needle-nose pliers
Crimp Pliers
Lay out the beads as you want them to appear on the necklace.
Beginning with the end Bead, slip it onto an eye pin. Bend the headpin at a 45 degree angle and trim to ¼ inch. Lay it back down.
Repeat step 2 for the remaining beads.
With round-nose pliers, round the end to create an eye loop on each bead section.
Holding a bead section between your fingers, open the eye loop with needle-nose pliers, as you would a jump ring. Slide the eye loop of the bead section onto the end of the chain and close the eye loop.
Skip 4 links, or more if you choose, hold the jump ring or link with the crimp pliers. With the needle-nose pliers, twist the link towards you and slip the chain apart. Lay down the piece with the open jump ring.
Holding the next bead section between your fingers, open the eye loop with needle-nose pliers, as you would a jump ring. Slide the eye loop of the bead section onto the end of the chain and close the eye loop.
Hold the open jump ring with the crimp pliers and slide the eye loop of the last bead from step 7 onto it. Using the needle-nose pliers, close the jump ring.
